My fun learning About Key Words And Poems

In Te Ngahere we have been learning how to find keywords in a poem.  Key words are little parts of what you want to right. So if you want to type up something long you should use little parts of it and it will come up with what you wanted to type up. It will also come up with more examples of what you wanted to type up. had to find five examples of what grinds its teeth over the grass and what spits out a thick green spray.

(My example) I chose a lawn mower for my first answer  was a lawn mower because a lawn mower grinds its blades acting as teeth to cut the grass and it spits out thick green spray. After that I got four more ancwers like animals and more things like lawn mowers. The most challenging part of this project was when we had to find five examples and make sure they have and do everything that the poem says.

I liked this subject because we got to find and learn things that do what the poem says.

Do you know anything that grinds its teeth over the grass spitting out a thick green spray?

Amazing Direction Following

In Te Ngahere we got given a paper with instructions on it. The instructions were a test for us to see if we would read everything carefully and to see if we would read the whole thing not little snips and bits of it. I thought the first instruction said “I should read it carefully” but it means I have to read all of the instructions carefully before I start the test. We had to read all of the instructions carefully because the last instruction was that we only had to do the first and second instruction and I did the instructions up to instruction 17 so I didn’t read the first step carefully. The teacher called us down to the mat to tell us if we did the test right or wrong one student almost finished it until he went back and did the rest of the instructions so none of my whole class got this test right. The challenging part was reading the test carefully. We did this test to see if we read the success criteria carefully.

Do you read things carefully?

My Fun Day Going to Greens on Shivams B-Day

In Te Ngahere we got invited to  a birthday. It was shivam's  birthday and every birthday he has he takes his whole class to greens  because Shivam's dad owns it. We went so we can celebrate his birthday with him. We had butter chicken and it was delicious it tasted really good and there was naan bread. It tasted as well as the coke and sprite. At the end when we were about to leave shivam's mum and dad brought 50 something chocolate eggs for all of us. We also made shivam a card that Angela and Jade presented to him with a speech.

We also did some himene for his parents to say thank you.

Have you ever went to greens?

My Terrific Learning About Team Building

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about something called team building. In team building we had to copy our teachers paper to our own paper in ten minutes.

We had two runners and one writer. The runners jobs were to run outside look at our teachers paper. Then they had to tell the writer without their hands what the teacher wrote on her paper. They had to put there hands behind their back so we don’t cheat. The writers job was to write down what the runners said we used lined paper so we can tell the writer what lines the teacher wrote on.

When we did this what didn't work write was when I was tempted to touch the paper.

What worked well was when we were collaborating and getting through this as a team.

The challenging thing about this was when I had to remember what the teacher wrote on her paper and tell the writer to write it on our paper with the same color and same place.

The hardest part was to collaborate when all you really want to do is finish and go back outside to see our teachers paper so we can finish fast.

I learned that we had to collaborate with each other and work as a team to get things done.

Have you ever did something like this?

My fun Ngahere Bush Walk

Yesterday in Te Ngahere we went for a bushwalk to find ferns birds and insects for our work. I found some ferns and wrote them down on a book. I also found other interesting things. I found a red fern, I found silver ferns, I found dead ferns and I also found tree ferns. I found a tree that had leaves growing out of its stem.

When we went I liked looking for ferns and more interesting things. It was amazing going for the bush walk and it was fun.

Have you ever seen ferns?

A Terrifying Tsunami

On Friday we had a weird bell witch was the Tsunami bell I was so scared and Terrified because I've never been through anything like that.  The Teachers were trying to get all of the kids back to there class with their teachers. We had to get out of school and walk up a big hill by our school so we can be safe. When I walked up the hill it was tiring and it was painful to my legs. While we were on the hill my sister and I got picked up by our Uncle and went to a high place with him.

When my Uncle picked my sister Breeze and I up and we went to Oromahoe. It was so scary and Terrifying.

I thought that my house was going to flood and I thought our school was going to fall down.

I didn't like anything about it.

Have you been in a Tsunami?

My Amazing Learning About Kawa of Care

In Te Ngahere we have been learning about the kawa of care. We were learning about this so we don't break our chromebooks and to keep our chromebooks safe.

Some rules are don’t drink or eat by your Chromebook, hold it with both hands, walk with it closed, don’t leave it on the ground and don’t tell anyone your password. We got in groups and made animations about the kawa of care. After we finished our animation we had to screencastify.

I liked doing screencastify because it was fun playing out a character.

Do you know the kawa of care?
